The Scholarship

 

At the beginning of every Academic year, two (2) MBBS and two (2) BSc Nursing student from each level (i.e. 2 each from the first/second/ third- and fourth-year students of MBBS and BSc respectively) at AIIMS, New Delhi will be awarded the scholarship.

 Each selected student will receive monthly scholarship for the entirety of their respective degree completion or 4 years of their studies whichever is reached first. This will be contingent upon maintaining acceptable ongoing minimal academic performance to be reviewed by the GSS Scholarship Oversight Committee on an annual basis.

 Total of maximum of 16 scholarships (2 each in every year of MBBS & BSc for 4 years) will be funded every year. 

 For the inaugural year of this scholarship in 2021-2022, in addition to the first-year students, students from 2nd, 3rd and 4th  years of MBBS and BSc Nursing will also be invited to apply, otherwise all selections will done be from the incoming first-year students for subsequent years.

The awardees will be decided by a Scholarship Oversight Committee called GSS Scholarship Oversight Committee) consisting of representatives from AIIMS 1980 MBBS class and the appointed members of the AIIMSONIANS executive Committee. These scholarships will be awarded to the most meritorious students whose financial means are limited.

 

The Scholarship will provide ₹ 2000 per month to each student. This amount is subject to change and revision with a short notice.
